Happy Birthday Renee & Trent!

The Wiland's had their annual birthday bash for the kids last weekend - sassy Renee turned 5 and bruiser Trent turned 2. They had the biggest bounce house Jack has ever seen and Mr. Willy Woo Woo showed up to do a magic show. Let's just say mama was freaked out by the guy as soon as he showed up but within 2 minutes of his performance she was laughing hysterically! Jack thought he was hysterical too :)

Jack even got to come up on "stage"

Jack laughed like this for 90% of the show...so funny!

Gia - 8 months

She is 8 months today and she is a wild one! I'm pretty sure she's gained 5lbs this month - the girl loves to eat! She is crawling, pulling herself up and getting into EVERYTHING! It's a blast! She's is more fun than we could ever ask for :) Not sure Jack feels the same since she is into all of his stuff now too! He'll adjust :)

kind of blurry but still a good action shot

Don't judge...this is how my kids build their immunity - chewing on dog bones. She has also discovered the dog food and loves that too!

 loves water!
 loves being outside!
 silly face!
argh! she was coming for me in this one :)
 loves, loves, loves her jumperoo

Opening Day!

Again, mama is a little late updating the blog but nevertheless.....we had a PERFECT day for Jack's Opening Day for Baseball - April 18th.  He is playing in the Atholton league which is where he is going to elementary school next year (sniff, sniff) and it's also a very small league so they've had lots of time to practice a.k.a dig in the dirt, spin in circles in the outfield and just look totally oblivious to what is actually going on. Daddy has been helping out the coach so at opening day he had watch of the bench while everyone was batting to TRY to keep them in line :)
Daddy helping prep the next batter
pretty good stance for his first real time batting
the coach pitched the ball 5 or 6 times and then Jack ended up hitting off the tee - in his defense the coach wasn't a very good pitcher!
Gia got bored and took a nap :)
After an hour and a half and only 3 innings!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We sure did! We started the day early (6:45am!) one of these days Jack will learn to sleep in.  The Easter Bunny came and he left Jack lots of fun stuff! He brought Gia a few hand-me-down toys (we're not terrible parents - she doesn't know the difference!) and some of her new favorite snacks!  Then we headed to church, then to Nana & Pops for brunch and an egg hunt and we finished the day at home with mama's family for dinner and ANOTHER egg hunt! We are very blessed to have such a great family!

Nana did a scavenger egg hunt so Jack had to read the note and go find the present

Gia - 7 Months

She's crawling!!! I know I always talk about how time flies but seriously!!! it's crazy that baby girl is crawling already! She's also pulling herself up onto things...like our legs, her crib, the couch. Oh my! A whole new chapter has begun and we love it!
she loves the dogs and they don't seem to mind her too much :)

 sorry for the ridiculous narration

Feel the beat....

...FRESH BEAT!! We went to see The Fresh Beat Band in Concert on Saturday with Aunt Meg, Molly, Ms. Steph and JD. To say Jack had a good time is a total understatement. I'm pretty sure he'll be talking about this for months to come! Mama had a pretty good time too :)
Aunt Meg made Jack, Molly and JD the coolest Rock N Roll shirts!

for those who don't know about Fresh Beat, you should totally check them out!
