Preakness & the O's Hon...

and a little gardening mixed in too!  We had a fun filled weekend starting Saturday morning bright and early helping daddy get the 27 bags of mulch in the gardens.

the doggies even needed a break from the heat
 ready for lunch!

Jack disappeared from lunch and this is where we found him!
At least he had sense enough to go put on his swim trunks!!

Saturday night we headed to Fells Point to check out Shannon and John's temporary housing at The Cresent and watch the Preakness! Their place is awesome - we got to watch the Preakness in the movie theatre!
Gia loving her beer
Ella is ready for the races!
they thought it was so cool!

El and Jack even made Gia a preakness hat :)
Sunday we had one last outing with Gabriel and his family before they head off to Germany for 3 years. We went to the O's/Nats game - great day for Baseball. Too bad the O's lost :(
 goofin as always

 Gabriel's nice stance!
 snack time before the game

 posing with the presidents!

waiting ever so patiently to run the bases

Best Buds!

Most of you know that Jack's best bud Gabriel from school is moving to Germany.  They have been in the same class together since they were 2 - doesn't seem that long but it's more than 1/2 their lives :) Jack and Gabriel have so much fun together although at times they bicker like old ladies - it's quite entertaining. So Gabriel came over last weekend for one last sleepover before he heads across the pond at the end of the month! We strapped Gia in the stroller and they grabbed the bike and scooter to head to the 'dinosaur' playground for some fun then we headed to the village center for pizza and Rita's!
 monkeys!

 snack time!

they took turns pushing each other - it was quite entertaining

Gia took her turn in the swing
 then she needed a snack!
goofing around waiting for dad to bring pizza
Saturday the boys were up at the crack of dawn (6am!) ready to roll! They must have asked me 25 times when we were leaving for the zoo. First mama put on her apron to be the short order chef since one wanted eggs and the other wanted pancakes and sausage - it was all good though because the zoo didn't open until 10 - we had time to kill! Needless to say, we got to the zoo early so they ran around outside in the pavilion until it was time to go in.
 acting like monkeys!
waiting patiently for the girafee feeding to open
they did a great job all by themselves!
mama warthog had 5 piglets - they were so cute!
 Gia chillin'

 always hungry...
it was a perfect day for an ICEE!
 walking like chimpanzes!

 It's polar bear mating season....
someone ran around too much out front of the zoo before it opened :)
some of my favorite pics are when they are sleeping....

 this can't be comfy!
