Sleepovers, Snow Tubing & Cacapon

We had a very busy February!!  President's day weekend Kayla and Ethan came to spend the night with us while Aunt Dana and Uncle Don had a romantic (haha!) get away in Atlantic City! I think we could handle 4 kids as long as one of them is Kayla - she is 13 already!!! She is such a sweetheart and always so helpful! Daddy disagrees totally in the 4 kids part :)
It was a beautiful February day of course so we went to the tot lot for some fun!
pretty much impossible to get a good pic with all of them looking
playing on the iPads
Ethan trying to avoid eating dinner so he started playing peek a boo with us
  bed time!
Then on President's day Monday, Jack and Mama went up to Ski Liberty to do some snow tubing! Jack's best buddy from school Gabriel and his mom joined us! Most of you know that Gabriel is moving to Germany in May and Jack is going to be very sad - hopefully we'll spend lots of time with them before they go.
nice face, Jackson...looks like a lil piggy

 ready, set, GO!
Last weekend we went to Cacapon, WV with the Dew family. Jack was super excited to stay in the "wood" house - a.k.a a cabin :) and spend time with his girlfriend Cami who was here visiting from Florida.
When we got there Friday the weather was still nice so we went for a short hike and saw a TON of deer
ring around the rosy and duck, duck, goose were amongst the most favorites games the kids played this weekend - pretty sure all the adults were sick of hearing the word "duck" after Friday night :)

Gia - 5 months

She's actually about 5 1/2 months now but who's counting?!  We started feeding Gia real food this month and she loves it! Mama has made sweet potatoes, apples, green beans and banana's so far - her favorite (by far!) are sweet potatoes as you'll see in the photos below. She can sit for long periods of time by herself and play with her toys and she loves sitting in the highchair and throwing everything we give her on the floor - it's a fun game for her, not for us so much. She still loves bath time and she has figured out that her feet are pretty yummy afterwards to chew on! She is still trying to master rolling over - I guess she thinks why roll over when someone will just give me what I need, smart girl :)
 happy girl

feed me!

there are those yummy feet!
This was round 3 or 4 of sweet potatoes - we're much better at it now so more goes in her
mouth than on her face, bid and hair!

Happy 5th Birthday Jackson!!

WOW! We can not believe our "baby Jack" is 5! Where does the time go?! It has been the best 5 years of our lives. Jackson is sweet, super smart, funny, affectionate and just an all around happy kid. We are so blessed to have him.

Most of you know the stomach bug got Jack the weekend before his birthday and we had to cancel/reschedule his birthday party to this past Saturday - thankfully almost everyone could still make it! Despite not feeling so well we still managed to have a great birthday week! On Jack's actual birthday we celebrated with his favorite "Chinese Chicken" from Pei Wei. We got take out and Grandmom, Grandad, Nana and Pops came to join us too!
Lincoln Logs from Nana and Pops!
Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game from Gmom and Gdad!
I think between daddy and mama, we've played about 100 times already :)
5 candles!!!
for anyone wondering, the log looking thing with candles in it
is an Oreo Ice Cream Log Roll - Jack's favorite!
We headed to Jump Zone for Jack's party !
Rebekah and Parker - too cute!
 Gia and Landon
Jack and his buds from school - silly Anna too!
Jack and his favorite girls - Anna (on the left) actually went under the table and squeezed next to him.
They may get married one day :)
Jack and his best bud Gabriel
Jack and his little buddy Ethan!
all the kiddos - I was shocked I actually pulled this off.
There are a couple kids missing but it turned out great
 Happy Birthday time!
could the kid have any more toys?!
